Quality time is my love language. Good thing for me, I like spending quality time with myself.

Today I took myself out to lunch at one of my favorite lunch spots. I got a creole tomato sandwich because I can’t get enough of creole tomatoes when they are in season.

I brought a bunch of things: my iPad for reading, my camera in case I want to do a little photography in the area, and my credit card because there’s a wine shop next door.

This week's workout Wednesday is walking. That's a lot of Ws.

Every day I take my runt and walk, at least around the block. If he can make it, we go a bit further.

Walking helps me clear my head, or listen to some podcasts, or make phone calls. I enjoy seeing my neighborhood each day, and noticing something new.

Happy Memorial Day.

I don’t usually spend a lot of time acknowledging the service people in our country on this day, but today I’m going to. The older I get, the more I appreciate my freedom.

There are so many things I feel grateful to experience in this country: a booming real estate business/company, starting my Roaming with Red venture, my beautiful home.

It’s not perfect here in the USA, we know that. But I feel unlimited most days. When I decide I want to do something, I just do it. Maybe it’s partially a free mindset, and so much is where I live.

Thank you to all of our service people. From past, present, and the future…you are priceless.

Today was a good session. I did yoga with weights. I love this class. I take it virtually at home, a live class but in my own space.

My pets made it extra fun AND challenging. It’s why I love working out at home, TBH.

More than ever, a good book provides a lot of comf

More than ever, a good book provides a lot of comfort to me. I read everyday, even if it's only for a few minutes.

A few years ago, I wanted to start making some big changes in my life. While therapy was something that helped, I knew I needed daily practices and reminders. Books were where I turned. I could collect knowledge every single day for as long as I committed to, and it was phenomenal to me.

I've read so many amazing books. The ones I have in this blog are the ones that, for whatever reason, had the biggest effect on me. I've done book clubs with some, shared pertinent ones with others.

Be prepared for being blown away by the movement you will feel internally after each of these books. You won't be the same, and that is always a good thing. Improvement is the spice of life. Here are my top 10 self-improvement books.

This week I loved doing yoga. Specifically with my pets. They love yoga too and excel at downward facing dog and shavasana.

It's getting warm here so I did it in shorts, but that is not common for me. I have historically hated my legs! Into my 40s, I figure this is the best I'll likely look from here on out, so go for it.

Work has picked up for me, so I'm really excited to have gotten some workout time in. What's your workout of the week?
